Loam Bistro is such a great brunch spot in North Vancouver! We tried a few dishes and really enjoyed the experience. The English Cassoulet was my favorite. It came sizzling hot in a small pan with bread on the side. It’s a creative take on a traditional cassoulet and the flavors were rich but not too heavy. Definitely a must-try! We found this place online before even visiting and are so glad we stopped by! Tried multiple lates, all beautifully flavored and presented. The menu was really unique and had excellent flavor profiles. Gluten free and vegan options. They also sold merch, I purchased some tea sourced from Japan. Wish I could have had time to try everything on the menu! 😋
Terrible service and disappointing experience. The server / owner were quite abrupt and unwelcoming. My coffee arrived cold, and rather than offering to make a fresh cup, the owner said she would simply warm it up in the microwave. The washrooms were also not working, and there was no sign or notice informing customers beforehand. Loam Bistro exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the team immediate engaged and made us feel genuinely welcome. The service was friendly, personal and attentive without ever feeling rushed. Not only were they attentive, but they had a great sense of humor, which totally added to our experience.
