Great place to eat mexican american food....!!!! -The fish and chips were really good. -The burger was really good. -The beer is cheaper than most other places that I have been to. -Relaxing atmosphere. -Not too loud to enjoy a meal and a conversation. I will definitely return.
Been there once and will not be back. We got there 30 minutes before closing time. The dining room was completely shut down and dark. The staff were rude and tried to justify that they were closed, even though technically they were open for another 30 minutes. People were at the bar drinking and others were outside doing the same. Back as Lo Esensial, the menu is half Mexican half American and most everything on the menu is really good, including the specials. Personal favorite spot for margaritas as well. - Try the fish & chips! - Only room for improvement would be the salsa.
I can't say enough how much I love going to the DMG. From David at the bar to Chef Mike and Johnny "pickles" with his pickling project, I'm always amazed at the fun and creative items placed before me weekly. Order Chef Mike's Spun! gelato first and then proceed to your main course. Today he introduced me to fried calamari rings atop butternut squash ravioli placed on his pecan hollandaise sauce. If I'm ever in the situation of needing to request my last meal on death row, this place would send me off in style.
Dove Mountain Grill and I have a bit of a mixed history. I first tried their menu several years back and wasn't terribly impressed. The steak I had was overcooked and tasted as if it wasn't seasoned at all. Despite it's relaxing and well groomed decor, the place left little of an impact on me and I didn't return for over a year.
