Our kitchen was old and tired (last reno in 1992) and was in a very awkward configuration. We wanted to redo it but were utterly at a loss for what the best way forward was. We spoke with two other businesses, both of which had astronomical prices and were recommending moving walls and all the plumbing and electrical.
