I visited L&L Hawaiian Barbecue recently and had a very disappointing experience with the customer service. I went in simply trying to order something to eat and politely asked a young employee wearing glasses about the salmon. I asked if it was spicy or if it contained a lot of salt because I try to watch my sodium intake. I also explained to him that I have high blood pressure, so the amount of salt in the food matters for my health. The food is ok but the one stars are for the service. I normally go here but all year, the service was the same.... rude and they don't even say thank you. One time a guy cashier took my order but he was more interested in talking to the other worker. Always the same front staff, they barely speak english, but could at least smile at their customers? I stopped coming here and go to Kalbi Express instead.

We ate here recently in the food court and it was, honestly, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The environment felt unpleasant: very loud, tables appeared dirty, and the woman at the counter seemed visibly irritated that customers were ordering food at all. Service came across as unfriendly and annoyed rather than rushed. I ordered the Orange Chicken. I ordered to go on the phone This LNL is a ripoff paid $24.99 for bbq shortribs never paid that much before same item at keaau location is $17.59 a difference of $7.40 Chicken katsu mini was $15.69 there and at keaau was $10.80 a difference of $4.80 so I paid $12.20 more to eat at this LNL Hilo ! I guarantee this will be the last time ! I don’t care that your rent is more LNL is a chain serving the same food and people expect to pay the same price regardless of the location they expect same food quality as well .

The images did not match with the food they cook and/or boil. Correspondingly — they added too much noodles and not much vegetables in mine. (For context, I ordered seafood noodle soup.) As a Canadian and a frequent traveller to Europe, this restaurant (to me) is standard and nothing too too special. As there was only three workers and because I did not like the food that much, I’ll give credit by inputting 4 stars for service but 3 stars overall.
