7-25-19. RIP OFF!! I had a 2001 Durango with a bad engine. Good condition otherwise. Got a quote from A.S. Salvage of $6 per 100lbs or about $360- $380. AS SCRAP. But I couldn't get a tow company to deliver there. A friend said LKQ would buy it at a fair price. Called 4 times over 3 days , never an answer. Finally had the vehicle towed there, met the tow guy, paid him and wait for an hour to be seen. The lady asked me if I had gotten a quote already, I said no, but heard you were fair. They said that they would take my Jimmy. Then they did not take it with them on the tow truck.
Great place to pick up those little used parts that would run you big $$ if you bought them new. Staff has always been friendly and in my experience prices are great!
STAY AWAY! Made arrangements for them to purchase are car that was totaled. Next day they never showed up to pick it up. Called them back to schedule for the next day and they didn't show up. All the while I'm getting charged $22 a day at the parking lot it was sitting at. By the third day was told they would not be able to get it as promised because of the weather. There is no weather related issues in the area. Will never use them again exclamation point
Nice yard but sky-high prices. I can buy used parts around the corner at Cherry Picked for a lot less money. Plus LKQ has a lot of hidden charges, core fees and a much higher price if you want a warranty. The place has been open about 2 years and most of the cars have been there since they opened. Not sure what their plan is.
If Kzoo don't have the part, then 9 out of 10 times Wayland has.
Open 7 Days a week this place offers great deals on used and aftermaket auto parts, you pull the parts yourself, so bring your own tools! Staff is always helpful and they offer "interchanges" to show you what car or truck you can pull your part from to fix your car. You do the repair and save money. They also will buy your car truck or van running or not and offer free pickup of old vehicles from all over Sarasota and Bradenton and the surrounding area.
