I don't like to leave bad reviews publicly but in this instance I feel the need to as it concerns my parents, who are in their late seventies, and haven't had a working fireplace for the past two months (in winter). The Living Gas technician who serviced their fireplace was very pleasant. However, despite the installation of an expensive new part, within days of that visit the fireplace failed to work. Chris is very knowledgeable and reliable. he has serviced several Gas heaters for me , and recently sold me a reasonably priced second-hand replacement which he delivered and installed free.
Booked in a service call with Chris based on word of mouth. He booked me in with an appointment in 3 weeks. Confirmed he would attend the night before with Chris confirming he would attend between 12-2pm. On the day Chris failed to show and did not respond to phone calls or texts. Tried to follow him Up the day after as well in case there was an unforeseen reason he did not show up- still no response. This is the height of unprofessionalism and unreliability. Chris replaced the old gas stove in our unit back in Oct 2024. It started rusting after only a few months, which would be a warranty issue. Our real estate agent has been trying to get in touch with Living Gas for 2 months now. No email replies, no phone calls, nothing. No idea what's going on there. Guess we'll have to take legal action.
I highly recommend Chris and his team. They really went out of their way to help me fix an oven for me, also one of the nicest tradies iv ever had enter my home.
