I have Barrett's Esophagus and take medication to prevent its progression, which can lead to cancer. My automatic refill was denied. I was told by my pharmacist to inquire with my primary care doctor, and when I called, they told me that combining a medication I took last year with my Barrett's medication could be fatal, and my insurance blocked it. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a “professional” office. Dr.Uzo listened to my concerns and did nothing. I waited two days for a simple non narcotic medication to help with my restless legs/muscle spasms that happen at night. She never called anything in and never called to give a follow up as to the reason why until I called two times to inquire. This was my first visit to this doctor’s office, and I had a great experience from start to finish. Everyone in the office was extremely nice and welcoming. My wait time wasn’t long at all, which I really appreciated. Dr. ND was especially kind and had a great sense of humor, which made the visit feel comfortable and relaxed instead of stiff or boring.
