I presented to Liverpool Hospital Emergency Department at 11am and was not discharged until the following day at 5:30pm, over 27 hours later, without ever being moved to a ward or provided a proper bed. I spent the entire time sitting in a chair despite being told I would soon be transferred. During this time, I received no food at all. I was given water only after repeatedly asking, and even then, some requests were completely overlooked. Staff acknowledged that my blood pressure was low, yet I was not provided with fluids,... read more

Honestly, the new emergency department is a huge disappointment and much worse than the old one. The nurses were kind, but there’s literally nowhere to sit. I had my little kid and partner with me, and they were told to get off the seats. Even after seeing the nurse, I couldn’t find anywhere to sit and ended up standing for nearly three hours. Be prepared to wait 12-20 hours to be seen or treated Shocked at the fools who go to the hospital when it’s not an emergency “my child has a cold” GO SEE A GP. The waiting room is like a zoo! The worst hospital I have EVER attended. I would rather pay an ambulance fee in the thousands to transport me to a different hospital anywhere than here if I was in need. AVOID AVOID AVOID! And check for clean sheets! They were slick with me and tried to give me a snotty and bloody bed from an old person! Telling me they changed it when... read more

This "new" emergency department is a complete disaster. Whoever designed it clearly never spent a day in a real hospital. The layout makes no sense — it’s actually smaller than the old one! It was so overcrowded that people were practically sitting on top of each other. No space, no privacy, no organisation — just total chaos. To make things worse, there was this woman (still not sure if she was a nurse or a security guard) bossing people around about where they could sit or stand. It was loud, confusing, and honestly, compl... read more
