Every year comes with my family.
The berries we picked were super sweet I’m never going to be able to buy anything up north again! Very fun experience for the family looking for the best berries which priced at $4 for over a 1kg pretty much!
As a massive group of homeschool families we got to experience a tour of what goes on in the life of a sheep farmer! Sophie was amazing at engaging the kids and us adults from showing us how her dog rounds up a herd to explaining and showing us the process of shearing and what then happens to the fleece. We then relaxed on the lovely lawn by the strawberry farm with a coffee, lamb pies, fresh strawberries and icecream- dream day!
Stumbled upon this little strawberry farm on the way back to Hobart. Greeted by friendly staff in a cute little hut. Not ostentatious at all really let the berries do the talking. Coffee cart had pretty good coffee and the price for picking was on $13/kg which is very cheap. It’s fun walking along and picking some ripe ones. Also side note the grass pictured is heavenly - non itchy and so fluffy.
