Little Venice-intimate, good food and service... Little Venice is a wonderful Italian hide-away in the far west end of Richmond worth the visit. The food and service are wonderful and prices won't break the bank. I love finding restaurants with wonderful food and service that the whole city hasn't discovered, it makes it feel like your own special treasure and treat when you go. Semi-casual is fine, they do take reservations to assure seating.
Top of the Tops Not many people know about this little italian restaurant with a great taste. Though not an italian I enjoyed every bit of it. The appetizers ($6.95$8.95); pastas such as ziti, tortellini and linguini with clams ($13.95-$16.95); entrees that include veal Marsala, chicken cacciatore and saltimbocca ($17.95$25.95). A large wine list ($23-$145) emphasizes the Italians, of course, but goes global. PROS: Taste great CONS: Little Expensive
Food=disappointing, service=awful, value=not worth it. Service provided by Justin, our waiter, was rude and unprofessional. I guess because we were with a large party and they tack on an 18% tip service goes out the window. Maybe you'll have better luck.
They must not need new customers in this economy – I guess that they are doing so well in this economy that they do not want any new customers. The restaurant inside is lovely, the owner who greeted us at the door was very friendly, the menu (that I viewed online) was good and reasonable for upscale Italian food. Consitently wonderful! – One of our favorite spots for wonderful, authentic Italian food.
Wonderful little gem right in the neighborhood! – Fantastic restaurant you would miss if you blinked walking by. Perfect romantic date-night destination. Great food with beautiful presentation. The owners and staff are warm and inviting. They remember their customers and are gracious hosts.
