I became so close with the families that helped raise me through these times of my life. In a world of chaos, pain, and rejection, Little Sand is a refuge of healing and belongingness for hurting teen girls. As a 1990 graduate of the program, I can testify that the unconditional positive regard, and genuine love I received changed the trajectory of my life. I am humbled and grateful to have been a recipient of the Jahn's/Pepin's tenacious dedication (when I was least deserving.)
I was there back in 1980s.i left in 1983 and moved to Vermont to where my mother lived. I learned lot and gain some much more then I could ever say thank you so much. This is wanda hoag.
i was there about 28 yrs ago. shirley n jerome jahn were the parents at the time. i was a complete mess when i got there. little did i know that myself n 2 other group home girls would ace the kitchen duty. i moveed on 2 be captian. i also did shirley's hair every morning. shirley was the best ever i'll never 4get her!!!!!!. i love n miss u thanks 4 puttin up with my s#%t all them years. if. not for little sands group home i would have died on the streets.
I was at little sand about 30,32 years ago.Shirley & Gerome were awesome.a great place for structure.
37 years ago, I went through the program,. Shirley and Jerome Jahn were the house parents.. it was the best memories of my child hood..my last name was Richardson then.. God Bless the home and all who are apart of it..
