Cool little house for a weekend getaway. Nothing fancy, three bedroom house with 1 bathroom, just the right size for a weekend away. Furniture style makes it feel very authentic, and bedding and sheets are 5 star. Perfectly clean and welcoming. Phone service isn’t great, which some would argue is great. This is a gorgeous little farm house on a beautiful chestnut farm. There's nothing quite like watching the sun rise over the trees as kangaroos and wombats wander around. The hosts were really friendly and helpful, and the house came well stocked with essentials. It's just a short 10 minute drive to historic Beechworth too -- giving you the option of a fancy meal out or one of those famous beestings from the bakery. For a weekend away in the country, I couldn't recommend this place more!
If you want a restful escape from city life in an idyllic location, then look no further. I spent a wonderful week at this quaint little farm house on a chestnut orchard. Every morning I would sit on the front porch with my morning coffee watching over twenty kangaroos sunbake just metres away from me. On returning home from a trip into the historic town Beechworth (just 10 minutes away), I would drive back up the driveway and encounter wombats almost daily who begrudgingly waddled out of my way.
