Romanian food at Little Bucharest Bistro. What a delightful change from the regular available cuisines. The place is small, has a little kitchen where the awesome chef single-handedly dishes out some delicious food. The service is totally personal, with the owner himself making you feel comfortable at all times. The food is served in good portions and is well priced. Call for details on BYOB-available days.

Worst service ever! They weren't even busy. Need to hire more staff if you can't handle 5 tables.
The owner is really sweet, he really wants his diners to walk away happy. It helps that the food is wonderful. Get the borscht!

Definitely Try It! I expected this to already have TONS of reviews, as this restaurant has been around forever, and is SOOOO good!!! It is a mix of Romanian and other fares, and the food was STUPENDOUS, the service was great and friendly. It is a little jewel in the Old Irving Park of Chicago!
Feeling frigid? It's goulash and stuffed cabbage that will get you through the thick of winter ... Check out the daily specials -- Monday to Thursday BYOB, no corkage fee!
great food even for a vegetarian: mamaliga, beet salad, goulash: delish! beware of the extra charge for soda refills.

Contemporary touches like gleaming wood floors and wrought-iron seating keep the vibe timely for the young neighborhood crowd, but stained glass window panels and traditional woven table-runners pay homage to the past. The same is true of dishes like Romanian skirt steak topped with fried potatoes and s... read more
