Our son had a "Minecraft Movie"-themed birthday party at a local movie theater, and John's pink MInecraft-sheep cake was not only a huge hit with both the kids and the adults, it also required us to post a grownup to guard it at all times because children kept sneaking out of their seats to gawk at it and try to touch it before the movie had ended. John is fantastic. He was responsive and helped narrow down my ideas and then made them a reality. Everyone raved about the cake. It was chocolate with chantilly and berries on the inside. The decorations were absolutely gorgeous. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a custom cake and will definitely be getting more cakes from him!
Little Baker Baker is a cute spot! The pastries and cakes are fresh and tasty — loved the croissants and chocolate lava cake, super flaky and rich. Coffee was solid too. Service was friendly and quick, and the cozy bakery vibe with nice seating makes it a great place to chill or grab something to go. Definitely worth a visit for dessert lovers!
John made us an impressively tiered and fall flower decorated cake for my parent’s 70th birthday. While he said it would feed 20 - this easily ended up feeding up to 50 given the height of the tiers! This was his cardamom buttercream, brown butter cake with orange marmalade. You can really get the cardamom flavors in the cream without being too overwhelming. It was a hit!
I can’t say enough good things about my experience with John. He prepared the most magical, beautiful (and delicious!) custom cake for me. I came to him with a crazy idea for a last minute birthday cake, and he over-delivered in every way. He was a pleasure to work with: responsive, funny, and brimming with ideas.
