He's a smart mechanic. When our a/c shredded a belt, he realized the compressor was almost seized. Replaced belt and worked the compressor to get it turning again. By running the a/c awhile, it received the lubrication it hadn't gotten over the winter. It continued to work fine for two years, then we sold it. Another garage was ready to sell a $900 compressor plus labor. Thanks!
