Look elsewhere for a more knowledgeable lawyer if you are hoping to adopt. We spent a year (and thousands of dollars)working with Katherine and her team. Our case ended up getting thrown out because of a simple jurisdiction issue that she should have known about in the beginning. She refused to take any responsibility for it and did not refund us any money. They were wonderful to work with. Super professional in walking us through the steps. Very good about communicating what needed to be done, what steps needed to be taken and when forms need to be done. Would always get back to us at a reasonable time when questions were asked and never discouraged us or making us feel overwhelmed. Most amazing group to work with we would go back for anything law related under their practices.
I was disappointed with how I was treated. Back in the end of March I was looking for a lawyer and I was very frantic. I had called this firm but was told there was a consultation fee which at the time I could not pay so I went with a different lawyer. Sadly the lawyer I chose to work with was not helpful and I began looking again. I was initially kicking myself for not going to this firm. They were very unhelpful. Trying to get a hold of them felt like a game of tag back and forth. Months back they transferred you to some call operators from India that were hard to understand and took weeks to hear back from them. Now they'll get back to you faster but they act like they are always busy or to busy to take on any new cases. At that point might as well take your number down from the internet.
