Dr. Deguire has helped me through some difficult times. She is compassionate and warm and provides a safe space to share my deepest feelings and worries.
Before my initial session with Lise Deguire, I mentioned my bipolar disorder and anxiety. An appointment was then scheduled. That meeting, we spent only 20 minutes discussing my therapy goals/situation. I wasn't in crisis. At the end, she stated she was not the right therapist for me because she thought I needed one with “a team”. I’ve had a long-term psychiatrist, and no past therapists ever had “a team” like she described. My assumption is she only accepts clients with somewhat minor issues.
Lise is an excellent therapist. She is friendly, caring, very insightful about issues (either conscious or subconscious) bothering the patient, and is very good and relaying these insights in a non-overbearing way. I would definitely recommend her.
