Would never take my dogs anywhere else. Wish the fees were lower as we are very elderly but do not trust that we can find better advice or care elsewhere. We have been going there for decades and they have taken our dogs from youth to end of life decisions, when Dr B eased their journey out in the back of our vehicles. All of ours have loved to travel far, and we could not think of a better way for them to depart on their final journey. We’ve been taking our furry friends to Aurora Vet Hospital for over 10 years and they’ve always provided the best care. I like that they are of the few remaining independent operated clinics not just a cookie cutter operation pushing things your pet may not need.
Dr Bernstein is the best. I don’t know what we will do if he ever retires. They are so busy so it’s hard to get an immediate appointment but we just went for our annual exam and it was great from start to finish. The front office is really great and I was seen within five minutes of my appointment time. Dr. Bernstein is really patient and he spends enough time with you and your pup. It doesn’t feel rushed at all. I don’t have a car, so I have to spend a small fortune on Lyfts to get to the clinic but it’s totally worth it.
I had a nice experience here today. I have always found the staff and vets to be kind, but there is a new office manager who seems to be especially competent, knowledgeable, and kind. I was actually late for my appointment (work conflict) with the vet tech for vaccinations and was fully prepared to reschedule. Instead I was welcomed in and my dog and I were treated like family. Sadly adding my voice to the chorus saying this place has changed dramatically, and not for the better. I used to brag to friends about how great and trustworthy our vet was. Now they don't pick up the phone or respond to emails. I'm super sad to be taking my dog elsewhere but this is not the same place I used to know.
