I had a very disappointing experience throughout my high-risk pregnancy with this doctor and her nurse practitioner. Nearly every appointment involved waiting hours to be seen, only to spend less than three minutes with the doctor. Most of my questions were deferred to other physicians, my high blood pressure was poorly managed, and there was virtually no follow-up for my gestational diabetes. Let me preface with that I've been a patient of Dr Karamardian for over 13 years now. I have seen her yearly as after care for a breast cancer diagnosis in 2012, but the last few years it has proven hard to get a timely appointment. For the most part I would have an appointment scheduled from the last visit, so a year ahead in time, which worked until they cancelled it on me one year about a week before the appointment and couldn't reschedule it in the near future, but rather months away. Terrible first experience, and I never even got there! I made an appointment 6 months in advance for what would be my first visit. Two weeks prior to my appointment they called to cancel it and said they had to schedule someone's C-section for that day/time and the next available appointment for me would be in another 6 months!! They said I could see an NP sooner if I wanted to, but the earliest for the doctor would be 6 more months!! AND the same thing could happen then because they can't guarantee she won't have to deliver... read more

Dr. K is who you want when it counts. She is straightforward, gets things done and knows her stuff. I was very fortunate to have her in my corner when it mattered most!

Dr. Karamardian was our OB for our first baby from pregnancy to delivery. She is excellent and there is a reason she is the best high risk OB around. The few reviews that are negative are a reflection that Dr. Karamardian isn't going to sugar coat but if you want a highly skilled, honest, and transparent Dr. who will help you labor and deliver safely - she is your doctor. We absolutely grew to love her and cannot wait to work with her for our second.
