I just had a virtual appointment with doctor Higa. I am so impressed with her. Since I have lost faith in most doctors she is not one. Now that Medicare does only "No touch" wellness checks and not a real physical and other doctors spend 10 minutes with you, Dr. Higa spent 30 minutes with me. Explaining thoroughly what I needed to hear. Thank you.
As an on-call doctor, rather than respond to my urgent question she pretty much cut me off and told me to call back when the office opened in 1.5 hours. I didn't appreciate the impatience during a very stressful time - I have never asked for on-call assistance before, this experience was disheartening and less than professional. My regular GI doc at this practice is wonderful.

Dr. Lisa Higa has been my gastroenterologist for over 15 years. I appreciate her because of her warm personality and her positive bedside manner. She speaks with you before and after your procdure, and if you're feeling nervous, she has a way of putting you at ease. The staff at the facility are all nice and very helpful.
