Kayaking Bear Glacier was an all-around incredible experience. Our group was lucky to have Jaxson as our guide - he was super knowledgeable and fun, made sure we had plenty of time to paddle around and take in the breathtaking scenery, and even brought homemade brownies for us to enjoy! Highly recommend this tour!
Vacillating between a boat or kayak trip we opted for kayaking despite the overcast skies. In the end, we chose right. Given that September’s weather can be sketchy we didn’t want to make a reservation. Jaxson, our guide was friendly and low key. We took a boat to Bear glacier which took about 45 minutes. From there we geared up for paddling and were in the boats headed for the glacier. We paddled in and out of icebergs. My wife and I did the Bear Glacier Heli and Jetboat Kayak Tour. The experience was incredible and we had an absolute blast. Our Guide Ian was awesome, very knowledgable, straightforward with directions and easy to be around. Kayaking around in a place that truly might one day be gone was a memorable and true once in a lifetime experience. AMAZING and unforgettable experiences with Liquid Adventures, highly recommended! We did wildlife and kayaking tour, but there was North wind that prevented us to drop the kayak but we still got to see two glaciers up close. The captain and guides were knowledgeable, shared interesting facts about Kenai Fjord. They prioritized our safety and made sure we still had great experience.
