Had the best experience ever with having to need surgery with a general anesthetic. Dr. Rachel Cogdill was my anesthesiologist and she answered every question I had and did everything I asked of her. IF you get a bill from Linn County Anesthesiologists, call your insurance FIRST. Presently getting a bill saying I owe money which my insurance says I don't. Their 3rd party billing vendor is AWFUL. He was very condescending and rude. Linn County obviously doesn't care that their patients are being harassed by their billing party. Seeing all of the reviews about the billing issues is ridiculous!!
The worst billing service. I never received a bill, and a year later I received a letter from a collector regarding the debt. Since it’s been so long, they can no longer process the insurance claim, and now I have to pay out of pocket. The medical service is excellent.
Because of total lack of communication between Linn County Anesthesiologists and Surgery Center Cedar Rapids, I highly recommend others to NEVER use either of these Facilities. In November 2022, I had routine Rotator Cuff repair surgery. During General Interscalene Nerve Block for post-op pain, the Anesthesiologist (Dr. Adam Shires) unknowingly punctured my lung. Dr. Burkamper was very nice and cooperative with my wishes for bloodless surgery care. An older nurse told me “he is very good”. Nurses are usually the ones who actually know how competent the Doctors really are. I have read the poor reviews of the billing department, but what I care about more, is that my health is cared for by competent, caring Doctors.
