I’ve been to several optical stores for years now but my best all-around experience is at Cohen’s Journal Square. The staff is friendly, attentive and informative; they make you feel comfortable and at ease. Erika went out of her way to help me, she was patient and accommodating. She even stepped out under the sun to effect the lens transitioning. I've gotten 4 pairs of glasses at Cohen's in Waterford and these folks are great to do business with. Price is right, and they have lots of beautiful frames to chose from. On my last pair there was a problem with the lenses (my fault, not theirs) and they replaced the lenses for free. I wouldn't buy glasses anyplace else.

Watch out for this place! Manipulative sales force. TOO PRICEY! I was overcharged for and promised the glasses within 5 business days. I tried to cancel the order 45 minutes after I left the store and was told this was not possible since I had used a debit card. It's now 10 business days since I made the order and I still don't have the glasses. This has been nightmare and Citibank has been little help. I don't know what else to do. Small claims court?

Avoid these lying cheats. The blonde haired manager here is one of the most despicable and vile people I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. My $475 Gucci frames broke within 30 days of purchase but I was told there was no possible way to repair them. I simply had to buy another pair. I looked online and found several specialists who were able to repair the frames for under $30, including shipping to and from the service center. High price, dishonest people, thieves, unprofessional. They want your money and will lie on what they are selling you (quality of lenses, real price of the frame) so yes I couldn't agree more with all the comment appearing about them. Cohen's optical is the worst shoping experience, just don't go there,

I received (literally) a 2-minute exam. This was the shortest/worst exam I have ever received. When I asked the woman who handles the insurance claims (office manager?) why I received such a horrible exam she replied, "It's because you have Medicaid. The doctor can't be bothered spending time with you because he gets paid much more with private insurance." This is DISCRIMINATION!!! Because my insurance pays less then I'm WORTH LESS??? Great service!!! Incredible WARRANTY!!! check out. I usually do not write reviews, but I need today, because I purchase my eyeglasses about 8 months ago in Braintree location and my child broke them by accident, I was ready to purchase a new pair but when I came in the manager just remind me about their "incredible" warranty and replace my frame at NO CHARGE!!!
