I have been a patient at Maryland Oncology/ Hematology since 2013. I usually have appointments at the Lanham office which was always less than desirable. The wait times were ridiculous and the front desk staff were rude. However I moved to Germantown and this new location is GREAT! Dr. Burrell is an AWESOME doctor, easy to talk to and knowledgeable. Actually the entire staff were great!!!!!!!!
Burrell treated me for 3 years, told me to celebrate 3 year anniversary, "CANCER FREE"! A couple months later blood work proved Liver Cancer! Now I am in a rush for CT, PET, Scans, and Biopsy. We needed the CDs from those tests, that she had. Burrell did not return my calls or leave the CDs at the front desk as we requested?? We had to purchase the duplicate CDs. We had to find a new Oncologist, FAST! Now under Chemo, I might have 2 years left!!! Doctor?????
I called to inquire about making a follow up appointment for my infant & the receptionist was VERY rude!!!! she didn’t even let me finish my sentence , her tone of voice wasn’t pleasant at all. Even if you aren’t having a good day at least pretend to be , you’re dealing with the public.... smh I had no idea they didn’t see infants which is why i was CALLING to inquire. you are a receptionist your job is to assist customers..
I am so appreciative of the thoughtful, professional care she provides. I trust her judgement as a physician, and I am pleased that she is available to diagnose and provide care for my health concerns.
