LW Medical was a provider for my insurance which is Cigna. They saw us multiple times over the last few months and we were happy with them. This week my wife calls to find out about tests and is told they have decided to stop carrying my insurance and we can no longer be seen. I made all of my insurance elections for the year based on them being our doctor. Now the nearest doctor in our plan is a 35 minute drive. I love my primary, dr. Christensen. However, his physician assistant, Alishia Davison, is absolutely AWFUL! One visit for symptoms of a terrible cold & she gave me a prescription that she told me NOT to fill/take until about a week later if my symptoms did not get better. I could have spent that $20 copay on the OVER THE COUNTER medicine I ended up getting. She also changed the mg of a prescription I have been on for years without my consent. It's one thing for you to go in and get a prescription for something and have them say "your insurance company needs a Prior Authorization from your Doctors Office. It's another thing if you call that doctors office, tell them that you need a P.A., leave them messages, and it's been over a week and a half and they STILL haven't gotten to sending that P.A. over to your insurance to get you the medication that you need to help you get through your day.
