Review the No Surprises Act before you pay the outrageous bill you will get for this “urgent care.” I’m new to the area and primary care is a 3 month wait. I needed a prescription refill so I went here, expecting to pay my $50 for in-network urgent care. Do not go here unless you have an emergency! You will be billed for an emergency room visit. I took my four-year-old son with pink eye and got stuck with a $200 co-pay for an emergency room visit. It’s a nice facility, and everyone there did a great job, but I feel cheated. This should be renamed as an emergency room.
Poor service and false advertising. Get ready for a big ER bill! They billed a simple urgent care visit for neck pain as an ER visit and wouldn’t adjust it. They claim that there’s a notice on the wall that states visits might not be billed as urgent care so their billing is legal. Extremely deceptive. They also didn’t do anything to help. They just advised taking Tylenol and Advil. That’s not helpful.
We were on vacation in the BoothBay area. My husband had had an incident three weeks prior and thought it would go away. Needless to say, it did not, and we ended up at urgent care. The speed of registration and being seen surpassed anything we've experienced in Maine. The doctors was great. The nurses were fantastic and we ended up going there three times for follow-up because we were so very comfortable. Kudos to them all.
They gave me stitches on the day of my cousins wedding. They were fast and professional. Dr. Tippie was a true expert and everyone was kind and knew exactly what to do.
