This public pool is a great resource for our community. We are so lucky to have our youth working as lifeguards at this pool. They work very hard and are given very little respect by the patrons. It is not the lifeguards job to supervise children. That is the parents job. I love the fact that there is no food allowed to reduce the mess. My family and I had a wonderful time at Lincoln Park Pool in Albany! The pool was clean, well-maintained, and the overall environment was very pleasant and family-friendly. We appreciated that there were lifeguards on duty at all times, which made us feel safe while enjoying the water. Admission is free, but you do need to register before entering the pool area. A free pool is a community resource; would be even better if the lap pool was not closed for more than a week with zero explanation or update from the city.
