Update: finally left this gym and my workouts have never been better! This might be the warmest gym I’ve ever worked out in. The cardio room consistently feels like 80+ degrees year round. As I’m writing this, it’s 85 degrees outside and it still feels cooler than the air in the gym. During winter, the heat is turned up so high that it’s difficult to comfortably walk on the treadmill for longer than 20 min without being soaked and overheated. What a disaster - both Lincoln Park and another. I’m looking to change gyms. Both are not the most luxurious, but it’s a gym. I’ve tried for 3 days to connect with the head of personal training to see about availability before I join and have yet to hear from anyone. One gym can’t connect you and you have to email and the other tells you they will call you and don’t. Well- I’m done and out before I even begin. This was the first time I parked in the lot and was immediately told “you park here, I need your keys!!”. The valet proceeded to tell me I was blocking someone in the lot (which I wasn’t) and that I had to pay? It’s supposed to be free. And after that I didn’t want him touching my car if it had to be moved. I found a spot in a residential area instead. I usually go to WLAC and the attendant there is perfectly fine. What’s with the guys at the LP lot being so unnecessarily rude??
Great gym, only serious knock are the hours which are still restricted since covid. Closing at 9pm on weekdays and 7pm on the weekends is unacceptable. Other than that, this place has everything you need in a gym with all the machines and free-weights + a lap pool, sauna / steam room. November 2024 update: Insanely busy from 5:30am-9am and 4pm-7:30pm every weekday. Literally every station and machine are in use and there are several people waiting for the most popular stuff.
