I had high hopes for establishing care here. I've been diagnosed with the alphabet in my spine with a brain malformation. I saw one NP who scheduled me for injections with a listed prednisone reaction. Those were canceled 12 hours before I was supposed to be there. I was supposed to get referred for allergy testing. That never happened. Then, my appointment with the surgeon was canceled because the injections weren't done. Alexa, Bouts, PA was amazing! She went over my x-rays and Explained everything I needed to know about what was going on with my spine. She explained the MRI that she is ordering & why. Mayfield is the only place I would go for my spine health.
I love Mayfield Clinic. I have been going there since the 1980’s. I’ve seen 4 Drs. in that time and everyone was as just as kind, knowledgeable and skilled in his specialty as the other. They always make sure that you understand what’s going on and what is going to be involved in a surgery and recovery, even if it comes down to drawing little pictures for you like they’ve done for me from time to time. I would highly recommend them and have to my family and friends. I would give them 10 stars if I could.
From my experience, they did not clearly read my MRI results thoroughly. They are now saying I'm basically at my last option for treatment from them and if it doesn't work then I'll either have to deal with it or go somewhere else! Literally that's what I was told. Maybe if they read through people's results better and more thoroughly, they might be better at helping people!
