Uncooperative and overpriced.
Poor management, no skills.
Trying to get out of a membership after being in a contract for a year is ridiculous. I called last week to give my 30 day notice and the woman I spoke to told me to call back after 3 to speak to their manager. I pulled up my original agreement and emailed the email provided to cancel and they couldn’t assist me. I called the gym directly and the manager was not helpful and referred me to call an 800 number to cancel. Have been a member at this gym for years, have never had any issues and will continue to be a member for years to come. Anyone complaining about the equipment, yes at times the equipment needs repairs. It’s a privately owned gym and they repair equipment as soon as possible with the staff they have. If you want brand new equipment that is fixed on the spot, go to a corporate gym and pay $300 a month just to have access to the “juice bar”. Lincoln fitness membership prices are extremely fair!
I looked past the initial red flags from this gym like the leaky roof, puddles around major equipment, buckets throughout the weightlifting room to collect water from holes in the ceiling, and “Jimmy rigged” broken equipment and kept my complaints to my self. However this recent issue with membership cancellation has been an incredibly frustrating experience and I would like to warn anyone considering joining.
