Lincoln Financial was fine with the short term disability but when it came to the long-term disability they started taking money away from me! I had brain surgery and a stroke and only eight months afterwards while I’m still going through therapy they’re telling me I should go back to work! Between my Social Security and Lincoln Financial I’m supposed to be at 3000 a month and I’m not even close they’re making me pay back a month of short term disability for a month i didn’t get paid. If your company offers Lincoln for benefits DO NOT TAKE IT!! They are problematic from the start. My situation my husband had take short term disability for shoulder tear & bone spurs. Something that requires minimum of 4-6 weeks. We provided the paper work plus updated paper work after he got of surgery that he had bigger tear than they initually saw on the MRI. So the Dr fixes the tear & updates the FMLA paper work. We updated & uploaded. Now we are at risk of not getting paid because they don't know how to do a job. Don't... read more
