I find this a very stimulating part of our national history and shudder to think what might have happened had Lincoln, not one won the eventual election. The city of Rockford does a good job with this small Park. It's located in a shady level area with numerous informative signage. I particularly like the statue of the two participants. If you like history, this is a must stop
Well done series of signs but not clear exactly where to start for sequence
next to a classic American diner. Stopped here on our way back to Chicago from Lake Carrol.
