Sunday 21st September 2025, My over 80 year old brother has been in A&E in this hospital now for almost 24 hours and STILL sitting in the A&E department having been promised a bed more than 10 hours ago. A nurse has even said that it is quiet at the moment and on a busy weekend the waiting time is normally 40 to 50 hours wait. REALLY!! Surely this hospital needs seriously investigating.

If ever you need an example of how this country is in the toilet then this is it.through no fault of the staff the place is clearly underfunded.two people looking after the entire “urgent” treatment centre. I wouldn’t class a 9 hour wait as urgent treatment.All I needed was stitches in a head wound. I would avoid wherever possible.

I went to A&E over the weekend, and was seen very quickly. I was in and out just under three hours. I had an ECG, Blood Test and Blood Pressure done etc. The nurses were friendly, and the female doctor I saw was incredibly lovely and understanding. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I really can’t fault the care I received. I know A&E experiences can be hit or miss!

NHS and staff should feel ashamed of how poor the service is at Lincoln A&E, the waiting time and depressing waiting areas are ridicules.
