I just watched a spotlight social media story/video on DWIHN Facebook that just released to the public, and I was already in tears over the drawings on the wall and other aspects of the video. Then the CEO of DHIHN spoke on the matter, The CEO of DWIHN also a former Detroit Police Department Chief, a man of greatness. I do not live in Redford and have not visited Lincoln Behavioral Services because I do not fit the criteria or have the need for services. All this center does is enable people. We have been trying to get our loved one help, only for the therapists and social workers to tell him “he reserves the right to drink.” He came here with the intention to quit, and after a year of regularly going to Stacia’s group and others, the issue has only gotten worse. Stacia tells him how it “makes sense that he drinks considering his problems,” how he reserves the right to use and how no one can stop him. I’ve been in sessions with him as they say these things. This place is a mess. The phone service is beyond frustrating — they leave you on hold for 30+ minutes without even checking in. It’s like they genuinely don’t care if you’re still waiting or not. Jeanette and Nicki are the worst to deal with. Rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. They talk to clients like we’re a bother, not people trying to get help.
