I was at my wits end and Dr Shen made me feel seen and heard. It can be especially hard and intimidating and hopeless to be a FEMALE patient seeking help with gastro issues, for women these are usually dismissed. That was not my experience at all with Dr Shen, he made me feel so seen and listened to. The worst GI doctor I've ever had. Not at all interested in getting to the root problem of issues, or listening. He told me point blank "our diet/food we eat doesn't matter", "probiotics don't help" etc. etc. But he sure believes in incredibly invasive major surgery rather than trying other things first. Horrified.
