incompetent and dishonest Last September now 7 months ago we brought our car to you because it would not start. We thought it was a bad kill switch in the alarm because the alarm was acting up and there was no spark(which we forgot to mention). You said it needed a head gasket because the plugs were wet at a cost of $800. We said no way!! Big Al No problem. They also do all the work for the SB Sheriff's Department. I would recommend that you always get two estimates anyway. If they have had several complaints filed and are still in business, there must have been no merit in the complaints.

Go to the Bureau of Automotive Repair Don't go to lims but if you do make sure you get an accurate work order and save the parts. And when he does cheat you go to The Bureau of Automotive Repair. It is on the internet and is very easy. An inspector will call you and visit lims. He has several complaints against him. In my opinion he should be out of business!

misdiagnosed-dont use Lims or get a second opinion My son took his car for an occasional no crank problem to Lims, and they replaced the distributor for $600. The car did crank and start for a couple of days but the problem reoccurred. Lims said the new distributor was defective.I have talked with many mechanics who have said a distributor would not keep a car from cranking. He probably replaced a relay my guess a $20 part and didn't admit he was wrong. Don't use Lims or get a 2nd opinion.

DISHONEST CROOKED SCAM ARTIST--Read My Review LIM'S TRIED TO RIP ME OFF FOR $650! I took in my '98 4runner to have them check out a clicking/knocking sound coming from the wheel well. They charged me $35 or $40 bucks just for a diagnosis that turned out to be completely FALSE! They said it was my rack and pinion and that they would give me a great "discount" on a refurbished part $650 installed. Honest, Fast, Friendly In many cases the quoted price is exactly that, an estimate, that is until they see what they are really up against. Of course they can see over the phone, but can only accept our word and quote us on that. I visited Lim's Auto this past weekend for the first time, my quote was for the work I knew I needed and 30 mins later I received a call about further work that I was putting off, they didn't have to do this. BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMER!!! Called in today to get a quote for parts and labor. Quoted me $300 for parts and labor. I dropped my car the same day and the "sei jai lim" (the auto shop owner i believe) called me 30 mins after. He gave me a final price that was way higher than the one he quoted me on the phone previously and it was $450. Not honest at all. I think that these high rating reviews might be the sei jai lim himself wrote them.

good The pricing here is average. The employees are helpful and friendly. They specialize in Honda, Acura, Nissan, Mazda, Toyota and Lexus vehicles. We've been taking our Toyotas to them for a few years now and we have no complaints about the service.
