New Southern Cooking, Old Southern Charm" is how chef/owner Jim Gerhardt defines his soulful cooking at Limestone. Fried Green Tomatoes with Roasted Garlic Aioli, Braised Beef Shortribs with Smoky White Beans, Collard Greens & Buttermilk Cornbread, & Sour Mash Biscuits with Bourbon Marinated Berries are complimented by a world class Bourbon collection & international wine selection amidst the worn elegance of restaurant's Colonial earth tones. VERY OVERPRICED AND DISAPPOINTING! – My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday evening with a 7:45 p.m. reservation. We had gone to the restaurant several months ago, also on a weekend, and had found ourselves one of only 4 couples there. The food had been poor and we had left with a bill for two (no alcohol) of well over $100 -- way too high for the quality and experience. The restaurant had the feel of a place going under. Still, we thought perhaps it was just an off night so we decided to try again. We noticed the pr... read more
It's fallen a LONG LONG way – This is what happens when a restaurant becomes popular and the chef appears not to care anymore. This used to be one of my favorite spots to dine in Louisville. My last visit was just that... my last visit. The service was two steps below indifferent. Food was dropped on the table, the food was thrown out of the kitchen with no attempt to meet the order in which it was supposed to be served. great food and service – best in the area!! Great local foods. The chef really takes pride in using local foods and recipes. The service is always good and the menu does change frequently. They will also modify the menu for your personel desires. They really do a great job! Sunday brunch is wonderful! Looked for the homemade French toast!! melts in your mouth

The second time, with reservations: We experienced very slow, poor service. Drinks were not refilled until we asked. The server and assistant reached over the table eight different times instead of walking around. While oth... read more
Great atmosphere & great food! – I've been here several times with my boyfriend and his family when we come into Louisville from Charlotte. I have to say that I've always enjoyed eating here. Everything is always fresh & very good. The restaurant is beautifully decorated & comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place!
