VERY OVERPRICED AND DISAPPOINTING! – My husband and I went for dinner on a Saturday evening with a 7:45 p.m. reservation. We had gone to the restaurant several months ago, also on a weekend, and had found ourselves one of only 4 couples there. The food had been poor and we had left with a bill for two (no alcohol) of well over $100 -- way too high for the quality and experience. The restaurant had the feel of a place going under. Still, we thought perhaps it was just an off night so we decided to try again. We noticed the pr... read more

We arrived for our "date night" and were seated right away. They gave us lists for wines, etc. but no menu. When the waiter arrived, he asked if we had any questions. We said yes, do you have any menu's? He handed us the menu. When he came back, we ordered right away (since the menu was pretty limited, it was easy to find something). We were so hungry when we got there, and we waited and waited. No sign of the waiter, or bread, or anything. Finally the food came out. It looked really good. But I had to ask for the bread. (I ... read more

It's fallen a LONG LONG way – This is what happens when a restaurant becomes popular and the chef appears not to care anymore. This used to be one of my favorite spots to dine in Louisville. My last visit was just that... my last visit. The service was two steps below indifferent. Food was dropped on the table, the food was thrown out of the kitchen with no attempt to meet the order in which it was supposed to be served. The lobster, a special for the evening, was beautifully presented, but had all of the mouth appeal of a r... read more

great food and service – best in the area!! Great local foods. The chef really takes pride in using local foods and recipes. The service is always good and the menu does change frequently. They will also modify the menu for your personel desires. They really do a great job! Sunday brunch is wonderful! Looked for the homemade French toast!! melts in your mouth

Limestone Restaurant – Very disappointing! We have eaten there twice and we will not be going back. The first time it was at Derby and anyone from Louisville knows any restaurant can get 'slammed' this time of year so even though we experienced slow service the first time we thought we would try it again. The second time, with reservations: We experienced very slow, poor service. Drinks were not refilled until we asked. The server and assistant reached over the table eight different times instead of walking around. While oth... read more

Great atmosphere & great food! – I've been here several times with my boyfriend and his family when we come into Louisville from Charlotte. I have to say that I've always enjoyed eating here. Everything is always fresh & very good. The restaurant is beautifully decorated & comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place!

comfort and fine dining You can dine fine here without breaking your wallet. The wine list is half price on thursday evenings. The dining area is spacious or you can go enjoy the cozy bar. Their one menu item you must try is the shrimp 'n' grits.
