OMG - I was looking for "The Limelight," a club I frequented back in the early 90s, and was *shocked* to see it's now a gym. 5-stars for the memories. I haven't had the privilege of working out there, but it looks pretty amazing.

was here when it was a nightclub and this is so sad. the nightclub would have got 5 stars. it was a piece of NY history gone.

A church definitely re-purposed! At least the building was not torn down. This was originally the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion, built in 1844-1845. It ceased being a church in the early 1970s.
