I had hives and angioedema for two weeks straight from an allergic reaction to medication. Was in the ER twice because of anaphylaxis. The doctors gave me steroids and a Benedryl/Zantac combo for those two weeks. The steroids helped a little but I didn’t like the side effects. The itching and pain from the angioedema is enough to drive a person insane. After two weeks I decided to give acupuncture a try.
