Science in action. Step right into the control room. Includes a fun physics science museum for the youngsters.
A fascinating experience learning about how we now measure on earth the gravitational waves created by black holes colliding in space. A truly impressive facility that started construction in 1996, detecting the first gravitational wave in 2015. The tour is given on the first Saturday of the month. Admission is free, and is one of the best examples I can personally cite of our tax dollars hard at work.
Great visit for those interested in actual science.
