A great advertisement for all the other caravan parks in town. Amenities block is disgusting...dirty, dark and disintegrating. Needs to be razed and a clean prefab amenities/laundry unit installed. No maintenance done either...wire fencing hanging down outside amenities, sharp tree branches between sites ,pathway lights not working. Bbqs were not cleaned, the sink only had cold water but the timber setting was OK to sit on!! Only a good place to stay if completely self sufficient. Room was grimy, old and extremely small. Amenities block was deteriorating and termites had taken up residence. The cost for this 3 night slum experience was $420. Over priced, a complete disappointment. We were told the place was booked out and we had to settle for a cabin. It was not booked out.

Travelled 4 hours from Inverell to lightning ridge just to find out that we were staying in a little old rundown cabin with dust all over the cutlery, plates and glasses, scratches and faded marks all over the walls and bunk bed, no fly screens on the windows or door no cooktops, pots or frying pans. My family and I are very allergic to dust so we all feel sick and have sore sinuses becuase of how much dust there is everywhere. Every time you moved around or sat on a bed or couch dust would fly everywhere leaving a bad smell... read more
