I've been going to lightning lube for years. the owner and mechanics are honest, friendly people. the mechanics do great work at reasonable prices. i recently had my rotors and brakes replaced and the vehicle was returned to me quickly with the job done right! great auto repair shop.
brought my 99 isuzu in for a rather big job, the fuel sending unit on the vehicle went bad and some minor electrical issues were taking place. tom took care of the problem for much less than i would have expected it to cost. pretty reasonable rates. and he is sucha nice man!!!
Went in today to the lightning lube for nj state inspection and oil change on my car dint take long at all , i sat in the waiting room talking with the owner tom and what a nice man he advised me of all the services they offered for my car and the prices are very reasonable, i am a senior new to the area i am from north jersey and it was nice to meet someone who you can trust and treated me like a real person, in no time at all my car was done , and they now have a happy new customer :)
if i could give this place lower than one star, i would. i always went to lightning lube for oil changes and only the owner tom did it right (the other employees wouldn't change my filter and the maintenance light would go back on a few days later), but one time my car happened to be running very crappy, i brought it to lightning lube and spent around $600 to get my spark plugs changed plus a few other things. a few months later it was doing the same thing... so the problem was never fixed. i went somewhere else and the prob... read more

Used for many years. Okay for routine service/ oil changes. Never was able to properly repair my original problem of being dead after a trip. A nearby shop replaced the 40 year old battery cables. It's fine now after farting around for 5 or 6 years at the Lightining Lube. Strange: My car is another 1969 Camaro.
I have been using Lightning Lube for many years and have always found the prices for repairs to be significantly higher. I recently had a transmission service done and they used the old gasket, and when I tiold them it was leaking they told me the pan was bent. Isn't that a coinsidense? I found out several days later at another repair shop that the leaking was due to the gasket that wasn't replaced when they did the trans filter,fluid replacement. I will never go to this repair shop again and everyone else should be very WEI... read more
