Having been involved as a parent of a resident who has lived there since 2006; I’d like to say that the LHCH has been a wonderful and rewarding experience for our family. Not everything is perfect (only Jesus is) and we have gone through “growing” challenges. I still witness wonderful and caring people who truly care for our loved ones. I use to live in New Mexico and made time to come help during Special Olympics and come up for fund raising events. Now I live about 4 hours away and try to make it up a few times a month. be careful. staff are rude and everyone is set to a schedule and force feeding tenants, otherwise they lose “points” like going out to the lake, swimming, trivia, etc is all based on points earned etc. also refusing bathroom breaks and not treating like they can’t make own decisions, a human being and pretty much like a penitentiary. “if you dont do this, then here is the repercussions” and a lot of yelling. great, caring staff leave quickly hence their retention rate. also treat existing staff like garbage.
