Normally a wonderful experience, but the last few times have had different people here, so feels like no continuity. Today someone was smoking outside the building (rude). So yes, my asthma was triggered after being great all day. Then the nurse (who was very sweet) smelled of smoke and lotion. So now, after arranging my day, driving 45 mins due to traffic, im asked to defer until tomorrow. Nope. Will go elsewhere for this donation.
Donated at this location for the first time; Barbara was amazing ! She had a joyful spirit and always ensured I was feeling okay throughout every step. Will be back soon, hopefully I get to do this process again with her alongside me.
I have donated at Livestream Blood Bank consistently for the past two years without a single issue, which makes this experience even more troubling. I've had some okay experiences here. I've also had some really long wait times. I really enjoy getting blood and they make you feel good for doing so. However, I was given the wrong information about that getting a vaccine before coming to an appointment. To make a long story short, I blocked off my day from work to come give platelets. Once coming here they told me I cannot give platelets for the next 3 months. Had they not given me the wrong information? I either would have postponed my vaccine or not gotten it.
