I just left there not even a week ago and I have to say... worse group home ever. There were a few nice staff. Mrs Gwen, Mrs Peggy, and Mrs Raven. I had a behavioral problem and was physically aggressive because the whole time I was there I was being treated unfairly and I was being disrespected. I threw a phone at the program manager and she flipped on me. She put me in a restraint and one of the staff held me by my neck on the wall. I have many things to say about this place. This place is actually terrible. It is not a healthy environment for anybody who is trying to "adapt to the real world" I got there august 20th, 2024, five days before my birthday. I was kicked out after attempting to commit suicide in late July. Apparently too many baker acts. This place is just smoke and mirrors when you do the interview. They make it seem like it's helpful, but when you get there, and you're there for a while, they start to treat you like another mentally ill pe... read more
Terrible, awful, just the worst. And addicts and alcoholics in need are shipped there every day from all surrounding hospitals in Lake County as if the place can actually do any good.
I was there awhile ago. The staff are not it they are super disrespectful and abusive even racist. If you dont finish your homework you stay up until you do. You miss dinner and you only get a piece of bread sometimes not even that. I seen two girls get in a fight one time and the staff just watched and laughed until they were done didn’t break it up at all. They are infested with lice and bed bugs there.
