Lifestar seems to be coming under fire for a connection to the "therapist" that was a accomplice in the 8 passengers child torture case. However that is not the primary reason to avoid them. Lifestar does not employ licensed doctors or therapists, does not use evidenced-based or scientific methodologies, is not trauma-informed, and holds extreme views of sexuality that are far outside the mainstream of professionals and regular folks. They pathologize healthy sexual expressions and perpetuate the shame and harm that drive so much unhealthy behavior.
