Hematologist Department: Girl named Ashley at the front desk was racist, discriminatory and rude towards me during my care here. She stereotyped me and handed me paperwork in another language just because I have an accent and when in my chart it says preferred language English. My brother and I went to the Cancer Center on Thursday. Everyone there is very very kind and helpful. The team of doctors we met with were beyond wonderful in explaining what they felt was the best protocol for my brother’s diagnosis. The time they spent with us was extraordinary. We went in very anxious as this was the first time we have had to deal with a cancer diagnosis. We were put so much at ease with the expertise and kindness of the team. Thank you.

My mom called the on-call doctor on a Sunday. She had an infection they knew about for 4+ days and it had not responded to abx and was getting worse. The on-call doctor told her that she could wait until the next day for a sick visit. They told the on-call that they were going to bring her to the ED. She showed up to the ED in sepsis.
