I an very happy with life shield except for their customer support. The common consumer is not an eletrician nor network engineer. So telephone support is not always helpful and the companies refusal to send a tech is the opposite of good customer service. It seems worth-wild to pay the penity to be able to receive service you can count on for a reasonable price. After 3 years with this company, Frank you should look behind the screens.

The sensors do not stick to the door frame well - meaning that they fall off and set off alarm. The only alternative is to screw them to door frame - something that is not desirable in a 170 year old house. When we contacted the company, they offered to come and re-install for $150 charge. Also, before signing up for this service, read contract carefully! My wife thought she was signing on for two years but found out that it was for 5 years. I have this system at my primary home and a second system at my summer house at the beach. I love it! Wireless was so easy to set up. Love the fire detector because it calls the fire department in the case of a fire or CO leak. If something happened, we wouldn't be there to hear the sound alarm - so what good is that? Since moving in with us recently, we also got my mother-in-law the medical alert button option and she wears it all day while we're at work. I am pleased with the security my system offers. However, the door/window sensors are plastic, and literally fall off sometimes if the door is closed to hard. I've had to glue them back together just to keep them in place. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the system & security.

Have only had Life Shield for about a month, but installation was quick and painless. I like the key pad and key chain features..just wish the key pad was mountable on the wall without the need for an electrical outlet. The employees I have dealt with have been extremely helpful and professional. So far so good.
