Northwest Athletic Club This health club is only a few years old here in Maple Grove. I am not very good with exercising but a few of us enjoy the swimming pool there. A couple of us just walk in the shallow part of the swimming pool for leg exercises. Northwest Athletic was kind and sent us coupons to try them free when they first opened. Northwest Days Are Over! Beward Lifetime Fitness!! As a long time Northwest member, I was saddened when the company and facilities were sold to Lifetime Fitness and my particular gym, The Highway 100 club was closed. I live very close to the Maple Grove gym and have tried going there for over a year, with no satisfaction (I'll get to the reason in a second).
