I used to be a raving fan of Lifetime Fitness. I joined more than 10 years ago in Des Moines and was proud of myself to be able to rejoin after being in Charlotte for a few years. Anytime someone asked me about joining...or I saw a tour happening...I would tell them..."Do it!" Posting anonymously. I rarely leave reviews unless the experience truly warrants it. Lifetime has built a strong reputation, which is why this experience was so disappointing. The tall white gentleman at the front desk who scans barcodes and checks members in is consistently unwelcoming. For a facility where members pay nearly $500 a month for a family, this level of customer service, especially first thing in the morning when you walk in is unacceptable.
